Microneedling + Meso Therapy

REJUVENATE YOUR SKIN

At The Laser Clinic in Harrow, we offer Dermapen® microneedling treatment to rejuvenate the skin and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin – the crucial elements of skin that keep it supple and firm in our youth.

We offer microneedling for the face and body (arms, legs, stomach, back and chest), and where it would be of benefit to the client, combine microneedling with mesotherapy – the application of nourishing serums into the micro-needled skin. Mesotherapy microneedling is usually a facial treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does microneedling work?

Microneedling creates numerous tiny wounds in a controlled manner, which stimulates the skin’s natural repair and rejuvenation processes, supercharging the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are the elements in our skin that keep it supple and firm, helping it recover quickly from stretching and folding. That production drops away as we age, but microneedling triggers the release of vastly increased amounts of collagen and elastin, resulting in tighter, firmer, healthier, and more youthful-looking skin.

  • How does mesotherapy work?

Mesotherapy is a rejuvenation technique that relies on injections of vitamins, enzymes, antioxidants, and plant extracts to revitalise the skin. Mesotherapy works by targeting problem areas and delivering abundant nourishment where it is needed.

  • How does Dermapen® treat blemishes and scars?

Skin damage usually lies in its outer layers. By delivering controlled wounds to the surface of the skin, microneedling triggers the healing process, which eliminates the damaged tissue and replaces it with new, healthy skin.

  • Does microneedling hurt?

At the Laser Clinic, microneedling is always delivered by an experienced, skilled clinician. Topical numbing cream is applied to the skin prior to treatment to ensure that any discomfort is minimised.

  • What will I look like after microneedling treatment?

Most clients go home for some recovery time (usually for about 24 hours) after treatment, as microneedling does result in redness across the treated areas of skin. Redness might fade after a day but could linger for up to a week. This varies from person to person, but we recommend that those with sensitive skin or skin that easily bruises choose an appointment time prior to the weekend, allowing extra recovery time.
